The 40G QSFP+ LX4 optical module adopts CWDM wavelength division multiplexing technology. Its working wavelengths are 1271nm, 1291nm, 1311nm and 1331nm. It has four transmitting and receiving channels. If the multi-mode OM4 fiber patch cord is used for transmission, the maximum transmission distance can reach 150m; If the single-mode fiber patch cord is used for transmission, the maximum transmission distance can reach 2km.

However, 40G QSFP+ LX4 optical module can’t split 40G into four 10G links, while 40G SR4 of MPO interface can be split into four 10G links, so 40G SR4 can be connected with 10G SFP+ optical module.
