What Is the Introduction of the 16G FC DWDM SFP+ Series Optical Modules

The Fibre Channel protocol was formulated by the X3T11 team of ANSI in 1988. It has the characteristics of high bandwidth, multi-media, and long-distance transmission. It can realize the transmission of large data files between storage, server and client nodes. In this article, Walsun will focus on introducing the 16GFC  DWDM SFP+ series optical modulesfor 16G Fibre Channel networks.

What Is the Introduction of the 16G FC DWDM SFP+ Series Optical Modules

The 16GFC DWDM SFP+ series optical module adopts hot-pluggable SFP+ package, conforms to SFP+ MSA and 16G Fibre Channel standards, and is compatible with 4G/8G Fibre Channel standards.

The interface type of the 16GFC DWDM SFP+ series optical moduleis duplex LC interface, the optional C-band is C18-C61 (interval 100GHz), and the maximum transmission rate is 14.025Gbps.

1、16G FC DWDM SFP+ 10km

16G FC DWDM SFP+ 10km adopts EML laser and APD photodetector, the maximum power consumption is less than 2W, the working temperature range supports commercial grade (0℃-70℃), industrial grade (-40℃-85℃), and the optional C band is C18-C61 (interval 100GHz), the farthest transmission distance can reach 10 kilometers through single-mode OS2 fiber patch cord.

2、16G FC DWDM SFP+ 40km

16G FC DWDM SFP+ 40km adopts EML laser and APD photodetector, the maximum power consumption is less than 2W, the working temperature range supports commercial grade (0℃-70℃), industrial grade (-40℃-85℃), optional C band For C18-C61 (interval 100GHz), the farthest transmission distance can reach 40 kilometers through single-mode OS2 fiber patch cord.

What Is the Introduction of the 16G FC DWDM SFP+ Series Optical Modules

The 16G FC DWDM SFP+ series optical modules of Walsun are mainly used in 4G/8G/16G channels. They have adaptive functions and can be compatible with traditional 8G/4G/2G FC networks, helping users to upgrade the network at a lower cost.
