The Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6860 Virtual Chassis Full Layer 3 Ethernet Switch is a compact, high-density Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) and 10 Gigabit Ethernet platform designed for converged networks. There are four models of this series: OS6860-P24, OS6860E-48, OS6860E-P24Z8, and OS6860E-U28. The following Walsun will introduce the OS6860E-48 switch and optical modulesolutions separately.
The OS6860-48 switch is equipped with 48 10/100/1000 Base-T ports and 4 1G/10G SFP+ ports. The configurable optical modulesare shown in the table below.
